Sumptious!!

We went to Tagaytay City to renew my husband's drivers license and decided to eat at one the "carinderia" (small eatery with numerous choices of food) near the Mahogany Market. We ordered "Bulalo" (stewed beef bones) and "Caldereta" (beef cooked in tomato sauce, liver, potatoes, bell peppers and chili).

It was heaven.. and i really would like to recommend this eatery because they cook Bulalo just right. You have to eat the Bulalo a little fast because when it cools a lot of beef fatty oils will start to harden. Although, in the place where we eat they served it in a small round pot with a burner underneath. The "caldereta" taste good too and it was really spicy and rich in tomato sauce. They also have specialty called "Sinaing na Tawilis" ("tawilis" is a small fish found only in Taal Lake) and "Crispy Tawilis". This wasn't our first time to eat there but I do recommend this particular eatery. There are a line of different "carinderia" there similar to a fast food place where there are a lot of different restaurants offering different kinds of food. So whenever you are in Tagaytay City here in the Philippines don't forget to try these delicious foods. Chow!
